On Monday, December 12th,
Arne Duncan came to Waters School for a quick
visit with staff, parents, and students.
He was greeted by members of the school and community, anxious to share
with him their needs, plans and progress for the betterment of Waters
School.
"He was very interested in the turn out of the Open House we had held
just that weekend," says Terri Versace, WatersToday member. "We briefly
discussed how visual infrastructure upgrades and more enrichment
programs would help in sending more neighborhood kids to this school."
WatersToday has a formal meeting downtown with Mr. Duncan in early
February, and will discuss needed funds, enrichment possibilities, and
anything else we can get him to talk about! |
