The Cub Scouts at Queen of Angels are starting off a new year after a fun summer of scout camps and activities. This is our 2nd year of family scouting that is inclusive of both girls and boys; in fact 15% of our Pack are girls! If you have a Kindergarten – 5th grade girl or boy interested in scouting please reach out to the Assistant Cubmaster Todd Woelfl or our girl’s den leader Rachel Abajain. All neighborhood youth are welcome to our picnic on September 15.
We are looking forward to another fun year of camping, pinewood derby cars, and other fun activities.

Calling all Waters parents, visit CPS Parent U to become a qualified CPS volunteer. It's easy! Getting approved takes just 3 simple steps. However, the overall approval process takes time within CPS, so don't wait, take the first step by signing up today. Once you complete this step, you'll receive an email from CPS asking you to show your ID in the Waters school office (step 2), after that, you'll receive another email from CPS indicating that you've been approved to chaperone on field trips and volunteer at Waters (step 3).
If you have any questions, please contact our volunteer team.

It's time for school supplies! Lists came out at the end of July, and many of us have been out shopping already. With no bulk supply program to help us collect for Waters families in need this year, the Circle of Help put together a list of supply kits needed by grade. Please sign up on this Google doc, purchase, box up and label your supply kit with the relevant grade, and bring to the Waters office on Teacher Meet & Greet Day on Friday, August 30, 8:15-8:45 a.m. Thank you for your help – you will ease a lot of back-to-school stress for families in need. Any questions? Contact Karen Nevotti.
