6/20/2019

Picture
Thanks to the outstanding efforts and generous contributions of Waters families, friends, community members, local businesses and volunteers, WatersToday raised more than $242,000 this school year to support programs in the 2019-2020 school year!

Fundraising Highlights
  • The Waters Pledge Drive exceeded its $85,000 goal and raised more than $100,000 from a record-breaking 200 donors! To celebrate, Ms. Kipp and teachers participated in a water dump on a chilly November day.
  • The Waters Craft Market raised more than $4,000 and showcased a number of talented local artists and makers.
  • Waters' Big Night brought together 250 community members and raised nearly $80,000.
  • The Wildcat Walk-a-thon encouraged our kids to get moving and raised more than $20,000 from more than 400 donors!
  • Local businesses contributed nearly $25,000 through WatersToday business sponsorships, Waters Dines Out and Pledge Drive giveback events. Thank you!

The Waters Walk-a-Thon was a huge success, raising more than $20,000 for Waters gym equipment, sports/academic teams, team uniforms, coach stipends, and more! Thank you to the many fabulous volunteers who helped ensure our kids were safe, had fun, and enjoyed watermelon/bananas after they walked/ran! Kids who raised any amount received a Waters fandana, and those who raised $70 or more will receive their blankets before the last day of school.

Congratulations to Ms. Boozko's classroom for raising the most money in the entire school, earning a one-hour fitness clinic with Mr. Kurz and the Walk-a-Thon trophy!

Congrats to Harrison Chrisler for raising more funds than any other student!

The following teachers' classrooms raised the most money per grade and will receive an extra hour of recess:
Kinder - Ramos
1st - Beza
2nd - Frieswyk
3rd - Boozcko
4th - Leatherwood
5th- Wall
6th - Aguilar
7th - Jones
8th - Raman

Thanks to our generous sponsors, in kind donors and many volunteers who made the event a success!
