We are planning for a cheering section at each corner around the school on Friday to encourage kids throughout the walk. Ring cowbells, hold signs and make noise to cheer for the students as they circle the school. Each classroom has a designated walk time. You can find your child's classroom time on this schedule. Props will be provided by WaterToday but you’re also welcome to BYO! If you want to help make signs or chalk the route, join us on the field right after school Thursday to decorate! Another great way to participate in the Walkathon is to fulfill one of the many volunteer roles. Please see the Sign Up Genius to find a spot that works for you!
We've had over 175 donations and we're just $25,000 away from meeting our goal for the 2022 Walkathon! Help us finish strong by making your pledge. Your donation helps us fund essential programs at Waters including recess and lunch supervision, technology, teacher wishlists, and environmental science.
We'd also love to see you on Walkathon Day, this Friday October 14, either as a volunteer or in our awesome cheering section. Wonder when your kids will be walking? Check out the schedule.

It may still be raining outside, but there are lots of rainbows at Waters! We've raised over $45,000 and we're more than halfway to our goal for the Walkathon thanks to donations from over 100 Wildcat families! If you haven't made your pledge yet, visit https://www.waterstoday.org/walk22.html.
The Waters community is also participating in the national Walk & Roll to School Day initiative on October 5-7 to encourage physical activity and build a sense of community during the morning trek to school. Be sure to wear your Waters t-shirt and then skate, scooter, bike, or walk to school. Snap a photo and share on Instagram @WatersWildcats!
Through October 6
To help get the Walkathon and Pledge Drive off to a great start, we have a special incentive for early donations. All students who have a donation or pledge made on their behalf by this Thursday, October 6th will be entered into an Early Bird Raffle to be Gym Teacher for a day with Mr. Archer or Mr. Ortiz! There will be three winners in all - one from each grade band (K-2, 3-5, 6-8).
The Wildcat Walkathon has officially kicked off! This is our fall fundraiser and a chance for the whole school to participate in some fitness fun. Now through October 14, we ask families to donate or pledge to support our school. Funds raised during the Walkathon support a number of crucial initiatives at Waters, including lunch and recess supervision, Technology, Environmental Science, Arts and essentials classes, and teacher appreciation events. WatersToday also supports the Circle of Help, a parent-run program that aims to alleviate the stress of financial hardship on local students and their family members by offering assistance through community aid. On October 14, the whole school will participate in the Walkathon during the school day. Families are invited to cheer on their Wildcats at each of the corners around the school. For more information about the Walkathon, see the info sheet your child will receive at school today or read the FAQ.
To reach our goal of $80,000, we ask each family to pledge or collect donations totaling $500. We know that many families will not be able to contribute at that level, but others who can ensure that we can maintain the programs that make Waters a great place to learn and grow. Please give whatever amount you are able- every dollar counts! Pledges of any size may be made in one payment or as a recurring monthly or quarterly donation. Donate online, with Zelle or QuickPay to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by sending a check payable to WatersToday to school with your child.
